One Phelps Student's Adventures with The Boy Scouts of America

At The Phelps School, we believe we prepare our students not just for college but for life. However, one Phelps student has taken “being prepared” to a new level this year: freshman Eddie Noon has recently joined the local Boy Scouts of America troop, Malvern Troop 7. For the past four weeks, Eddie has participated in the Wednesday night meetings and other outings, having previously spent four years as a Boy Scout at home in Selbyville, Delaware.
Eddie started his scouting journey eight years ago with Cub Scouts and hopes to someday attain Eagle Scout status, which he believes exemplifies a pinnacle of ability and readiness. Camping and hiking are among Eddie’s preferred scouting activities, as they offer an opportunity to travel and experience some beautiful natural sites. He is looking forward to continuing to build his skill set in areas that would support these interests, such as first aid and cooking.
Phelps is hoping that more students will want to participate with this and other local troops in the future, especially as Eddie credits Malvern Troop 7 with a warm welcome. More information on Malvern Troop 7 may be found at www.malverntroop7.org. Interested in learning more about Phelps?
