Celebrate International Dog Day With Chester County SPCA's Featured Pets Of The Week

Today is International Dog Day, and to celebrate, here are the Chester County SPCA’s”Featured Pets of the Week.”

All featured pets have a “name your price” adoption fee until Sunday, Aug. 30. All pets are listed in the order in which their pictures appear above.

Abby

Hi world, my name is Abby! My pals at the CCSPCA say I’m a spunky, and somewhat gorgeous boxer/shepherd mix. I have the energetic innocence of a puppy, with the good manners of an older dog. I’m playful and curious, athletic and lovable. If you can look past my gorgeousness, you will see a playful puppy with great instincts who wants to learn. I already sit on command, and am looking to learn more! I’m looking for a home with a family that will laugh at my puppy ways, and teach me even better manners than I already have. Are YOU that family? I sure hope you are!

Faith

I have “Faith” that I will find my forever family- I just know I will. I am one of the sweetest dogs in the shelter. I listen well and look to my people for direction. I love to play with tennis balls and chew toys and am able to relax and enjoy downtime. Of course I also love to run and play! I am a very athletic fetcher – even jumping and snagging balls in the air. I’m a happy girl who enjoys frolicking outdoors, army crawling, and rolling around in the grass. I’m on the smaller side, so I perfectly fit in all laps and I don’t take up that much room on the couch (if you allow me on furniture). Please come visit me. I know I am what you have been looking for!

Striking good looks. A regal stance. A doggie smile to die for. I am a smart, well behaved dog that would love to be the only dog in your home. I am more than enough dog for you though; I come with a lot of kisses and hugs! I am so smart…I know sit, down and stay…and have the capacity to learn so much more. I know my new family is out there to bring me home…I just hope it is soon! I can’t wait to start making memories together!

Hi! My name is Dorthy and I am a brown tabby with a white bib and paws. I am an eight year old female who was surrendered to the CCSPCA on 6/27/15. I am a total social butterfly and love attention! I am well suited for family life, and I love to speak to humans in my native tongue. Something about the puzzled looks on their faces that tickle me hehe! Come by the shelter today and lets have chat about life together.

What’s up! My name is Dude and I am a three year old male who was surrendered to the SPCA on 7/3/15. I lend new meaning to the phrase, “The Bold and the Beautiful”. I am a large and take charge kind of fella that is pretty good at communicating my mood, if you know how to read my body language. While some kids are great entertainment, I’d prefer a calm home with mature people to have adult conversations with. I am pretty independent, but once I adjust to my new home I know I would make a good companion. Come speaking to my friends at the CCSPCA, they can vouch for my awesomeness, and help you take me home.
