Chester County Coronavirus Cases Nearing 2K, Almost 200 Deaths

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — There are nearly 2,000 coronavirus cases in Chester County, as of Saturday. Additionally, deaths have nearly reached 400.

According to data provided Saturday, Chester County has 1,816 cases of the coronavirus.

Willistown Township has the most cases with 116.

East Vincent Township has the highest percentage of its population with the virus of any Chester County municipality. The borough has 85 cases and 6,963 residents, giving it a 1.22 percent infected population.

The locations of 61 cases in Chester County have not been identified, as of Saturday.

To date, the county has received 6,505 negative coronavirus test results.

Long term care facilities and personal care homes account for 31 percent of all Chester County cases, with 562 cases in those facilities. Of the county's 75 facilities, 32 have had an outbreak.
