PECO will close a section of Conestoga Road through September for utility improvement in Tredyffrin Township, starting May 24.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A section of Conestoga Road in Tredyffrin Township will be off-limits for months, starting soon.

PECO Energy is planning to close Conestoga Road between Upper Gulph Road and Strafford Avenue in Tredyffrin Township beginning May 24, for gas main construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced this week.

The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 24.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Upper Gulph Road, Old Eagle School Road, and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
