Conestoga Sailing Team Wins Main Line Bell Cup
Congratulations to the Conestoga sailing team for their victory!

BERWYN, PA — Conestoga High School was awarded the 2018-2019 Bell Cup Perpetual Trophy by the Main Line Scholastic Sailing Association (MLSSA) at the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia in Essington on Sunday, June 2.
The Conestoga High School team, led by “A” boat skipper Garrett Roach with crew/brother Justin Roach and “B” boat skipper Charlie McKenzie and crew Emily Dougherty, won the Overall Championship after consistently outperforming the other teams.
Over the course of both the fall and spring seasons, Garrett Roach (Skipper) and Justin Roach (Crew) of Conestoga High School also won the Cullen Top Gun Award for being the low point team in the competition over the course of the fall and spring seasons.

Since its inception in the fall of 2012, high school sailing teams have grown tremendously on the Main Line with 25 schools currently participating.
The Main Line high school sailing fall season starts in September and runs until early November.

In the spring, the sailing season starts again in the late March and runs until early June.
Teams compete through the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia.
