Detour For Tredyffrin Twp. Bridge Replacement Starts Monday
The bridge on Howellville Road that goes over a railroad in Tredyffrin Twp. is being replaced, and work will continue through next May.
TREYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Howellville Road Bridge replacement project begins Monday, and will mean a detour expected to last until May 2021.
The project will replace the Howellville Road Bridge over Norfolk-Southern's railroad, on Howellville Road between Bodine Road and the Field of Dreams/PECO entrance.
Beginning Oct. 19, the Howellville Road Bridge will be closed to traffic between Bodine Road and the Field of Dreams/PECO Berwyn Complex driveway along Howellville Road.

The bridge replacement project is expected to be completed in May 2021. PennDOT has designated a detour route using Cassatt Road and Swedesford Road (Route 252) for the duration of the closure.
The detour plan map can be viewed here. Local traffic will be allowed to access their properties on either side of the bridge, but there will be no access across the railroad until the completion of the project, the township has said.
