EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Officials in Easttown Township have laid out a plan to reopen its facilities while keeping residents and staffers safe.

The township will institute stringent health safety measures while reopening its buildings.

In the "green" phase of Gov. Tom Wolf's plan to reopen the state's economy, Easttown will allow members of the public into the administration building and police building by appointment only.

Members of the public will be limited to less than six appointments per day. All appointments will be held in first floor conference room. Groups will be limited to three or less.

Anyone who comes into the Easttown Township Administration Building must complete a following screening log and agree to the conditions established by officials. Questions in the log include if you are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus, what recent contacts were, and if you think you may be contagious. Answering yes to the questions will keep you out of the building.

Members of the public and township employees must wear masks while in the building. Anyone over the age of 2 who is not wearing a mask will be denied entry to the building. Those who cannot wear masks due to medical reasons will be allowed in the building.

Six feet of social distancing is required when in the building, as well.

Those who need to exchange materials — such as packages, letters, permits, plans, and more — with the Township are to use the portico of the building or the mail box in the front of the building.

Administration staffing shall be on a 50 percent on and 50 percent off level each day. The Public Works Department will be at full staff.

Public restrooms will remain closed, but playground equipment will be open.

Hilltop House will be open on a case-by-case basis for events that satisfy requirements applicable to the industry.
