First Coronavirus Death Reported In Tredyffrin Township

New data provided by Chester County Monday shows Tredyffrin Township has its first coronavirus-related death.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Chester County data shows Tredyffrin Township has seen its first death related to the new coronavirus.

Data released Monday revealed the township had its first coronavirus-related death.

The death marks the third in the county.

Other deaths have occurred in Willistown Township and Honey Brook Borough.

The victim in Willistown was an 89-year-old man who was hospitalized and had a number of underlying conditions. The Honey Brook victim was a 79-year-old man who had a number of underlying health conditions.

Additionally, an 87-year-old man from Montgomery County who was being treated at a hospital in Chester County died. He also had underlying health conditions.

The county has 304 positive cases.

As of Monday, there have been 2,238 negative rest results in the county.

Tredyffrin Township has 25 cases. Neighboring Easttown Township has 16 cases, Willistown has 15 cases, East Whiteland 10, Schuylkill Township two cases, and Charlestown Township has four cases.

In Delaware County, Radnor Township has 29 cases and Newtown Township has 25 cases as well as one death.
