Four Conestoga HS Seniors Named National Merit Scholars
Graduates of Conestoga High School earned 4 scholarships for their college education, and designation as National Merit Scholars.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Four Conestoga High School graduating seniors were named National Merit Scholars, from among finalists on July 13. The four were include in a last round of National Merit Scholar designees to be announced in 2020. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced winners who will attend one of 167 sponsor colleges and universities.
- Brandon S. Huang received the National Merit Purdue University Scholarship. Huang expects to study computer science at Purdue University.
- Aryaj N. Kumar received the National Merit University of Chicago Scholarship. Kumar named his probable career field as investment banking.
- Ashley Chen received the National Merit University of Chicago Scholarship, also. Chen has not decided on a major.
- Sanjana P. Sanghani received the National Merit Northeastern University Scholarship. Sanghani plans to study economics.
National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in July announced over 650 additional winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities. These Merit Scholar designees join more than 3,300 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June.This final group of winners brings the number of 2020 National Merit Scholars to about 7,600.
College-sponsored awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
