Friday's TESD Snow Day Will Impact End of School in June

Did you or your kids love the snow day in the T/E School District on Friday?There's a price to pay in June for the day off from school in January.

The T/E School District has announced the tentative new last day of school will now be June 18.  An announcement on the district's website says "due to the emergency closing day on January 3, 2014, the new tentative last day of school has been moved to June 18, 2014. "

This is the second time the last day of school has shifted due to snow.  The TESD was also closed back on December 10, pushing the last day of school back one day. The school calendar always builds in provisions for snow days that force a shift in schedules to meet the state-mandated 180 school days per school year.
