Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors
Democrats Murph Wysocki and Mark Freed unseated current Republican Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors Chair Michelle Kichline and Trip Lukens in a four way race for at-large seats on the board. Current Republican Phil Donahue was not seeking re-election to the board.
Of the five races in Tredyffrin Township Evelyn E.J. Richter was the only successful republican candidate. Richter, who had been an at-large supervisor, representing the entire township. She ran this time around as a candidate for the Middle District Seat.
Democrat Murph Wysocki, who ran unsuccessfully in 2011 called it "a historic night" for the Tredyffrin Democrat party who will now have a voice on the Board."Â Republicans have held a 7-0 lock on the Board of Supervisors through several election cycles. Wysocki was the top vote getter in the four way race for the two at-large seats being contested. 352 votes separated Wysocki from Trip Lukens in a close race that, as is common in Tredyffrin Township, depended on voter turnout.
