ID Theft Costs Devon Resident $900, Police Say
The victim reported receiving a hefty PECO bill from an account opened fraudulently, according to the police report.

Fraud/Identity Theft... On Friday at noon, police received a report of fraud and identity theft from a resident of the 400 block of Timber Lane in Devon. The complainant reported that while in the process of moving, a PECO account with a balance exceeding $900 had been fraudulently opened in the complainant's name.
Possession... On Saturday, at 4:14 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle observed to be driving carelessly on Route 252. Upon contact with the driver, the odor of marijuana was present in the vehicle. The passenger admitted possessing marijuana and was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia.Â

Bench Warrant Arrest... On Saturday, at 5:59 p.m., police served a warrant on a 45-year-old Wayne man who had violated parole. He was arrested and taken to Chester County Prison.
