Thursday was a banner day in Berwyn and the banner announces one of the bigger community Christmas and holiday events.

The Berwyn Christmas Tree Lighting is set for December 8 at the Berwyn Train Station.  The annual event sponsored by the Berwyn-Devon Business and Professional Association features local bands, performers and Santa's arrival.  

The banner was strung across Lancaster Avenue at Fritz Lumber in Berwyn early this morning by Easttown public works with help from a T/E School District bucket truck crew.
