Delayed from December, Quincy's Original Lobster Rolls now appears to be on the verge of opening.
A spokeswoman for the locally-owned, non-chain eatery tells Patch an announcement on the opening is expected very soon.
Last fall a different spokesperson told Patch owners planned a pre-Christmas opening. The original plans obviously shifted a little and a "soft opening" is expected within the next few weeks.
The restaurant is expected to give patrons an atmosphere and food reminiscent of summer vacations at the New England shore.
A huge wall on one side of the restaurant features a New England dock scene. Another wall looks like the outside of a water side lobster restaurant.
Patch will keep you posted on the opening of the restaurant at 414 Sweedesford Road (between Pathmark and H.H. Gregg)
