Paoli Man Sentenced Following Embezzlement Scheme

Christopher May, 32, was also sentenced to two years of supervised release, according to the District Attorney's office.

PAOLI, PA – A Paoli man has been sentenced to one year and four months in prison for engaging in an embezzlement scheme through which he stole more than $1.2 million from his former employer.

Christopher May, 32, was also sentenced to two years of supervised release, according to the District Attorney's office.

In February, May pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud stemming from this scheme, which he conducted over the course of eight months, officials said. From October 2019 to May 2020, while he was employed as a staff accountant at a local e-commerce automotive parts retailer in Paoli, May made more than 50 unauthorized Paypal transfers of his employer's funds into his personal accounts.
