Postponed Berwyn Tree Lighting Festivities Happen Tonight
Free annual event was rescheduled due to snow. Bring the family for free fun, food and holiday cheer tonight.
The snowed-out and rescheduled Berwyn Tree Lighting Ceremony will happen tonight with everything but the actual tree.  The tree is lit and drawing oohs and ahhs at the Berwyn Train Station. Â
Now the festivities that were to have surrounded the event will be held tonight in the parking lot at Handels Ice Cream on Lancaster Ave., across from the Bronze Building in Berwyn.
The revamped Berwyn Devon Business And Professional Association sponsored event will be held on Wednesday, December 18  from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Handel’s Ice Cream parking lot.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Blitzen ( a live reindeer) will be on hand. According to the association "Santa is arriving via fire truck, Mrs. Claus by Maserati, and the reindeer is hoofing it."
The winners of the Home Decorating Contest will be recognized.  There will be Christmas Carolers and refreshments.
