SPRING CITY, PA - Fire fighters found a pot on a stove still burning when they responded to a call at the Royersford Hotel Sunday. Royersford Fire Department Station 98 responded to an appliance fire that produced heavy smoke on the third floor of the hotel building at 213 Main St. in Royersford. Fire fighters were able to limit the fire to a single room.

Crews from Liberty Fire Company Station 63 assisted Royersford crews early on July 19. A Ladder 63 crew of four arrived and took the front of the building, pulling a hose line to the fire room, not knowing if the fire had spread beyond the kitchen. Deputy Keith Bliss Jr. found a lid and extinguished the fire.

Crew members then cleared the heavy smoke with fans. Royersford and Limerick units assisted with fans throughout the response.
