The Daylesford Crossing residents had real reason to celebrate. Chester County, as the sixth most-populated of Pennsylvania's 67 counties, was 33rd in ranking for the number of vaccine doses received, the county's statement reported.

At the Daylesford Crossing celebration event, community team members like Dining Department Associate Jameel Dewitt lined up for their vaccinations along with residents like Josephine D’Ambrosia and Leonard Dagit, who rolled up their sleeves for the first round of shots.

"Daylesford Crossing's residents and staff are looking ahead to the second dose, and playing their part in putting the pandemic in the rear-view mirror for all of us," said a representative of the community.

In total across Chester County, 43,765 people had received first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 33,273 had received second doses by all vaccine providers across Chester County, including hospitals and pharmacies, as of March 5.

Daylesford Crossing said it works to offer seniors a lifestyle that honors their desires and recognizes their ever-changing needs. The senior living community customizes the services it offers, providing amenities and care as needed, with independent living, assisted living and memory care options. Daylesford Crossing is a SageLife community.
