With Spring And Summer Coming, Learn Top Gardening Techniques At Tredyffrin Library

Turn your thumbs green with the six-session series in February, March, April, May and June.

The Tredyffrin Public Library is hosting a gardening series aimed at helping you develop your green thumb as spring and summer approach.

The series includes six classes beginning in February and extending to June.

The first three classes are free to attend, while the last three are $25.

Edible Gardening – Feb. 25, 2 p.m.

Master Gardener, Tony Buck, will help you get ready for spring gardening. Whether you are already growing your own food, or just getting started, you’ll get insights from the science-based knowledge and the lessons learned from years of practice. This is a free event.

Container Combinations – March 14, 7 p.m.

Stephanie Cohen, the Perennial Diva, will share her passion and expertise on creating beautiful container gardens. You will gain tips and techniques from one of Philadelphia’s garden experts. Books will be for purchase and signing. This is a free event.

Scented Geraniums – April 11, 7 p.m.

Caroline Amidon and Joyce Brobst will discuss scented geraniums (pelargoniums) and have plants on hand for the discussion. Plants will be available for purchase. This is a free event.

Tree Tenders – May 25, June 1, June 8 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Tree Tenders teach the basics of tree planting, tree care, and how to rally communities around the importance of trees. In the three sessions you will learns tree biology, tree stressors, tree identification, choosing the right tree, care and pruning and more. Cost is $25.
