Stranded Man Had Stolen Car, Police Say
A Philadelphia resident was found walking with a screwdriver and pliers near a stolen, broken down car, according to police reports.

The following information has been provided by the Tredyffrin Police Department. Any arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
Receiving Stolen Property... On April 8, at 5:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a stranded person on Walker Road in Wayne. Upon contact, police found the man to be in possession of a screwdriver, pliers and two cell phones. Moments later, another officer located a nearby vehicle partially blocking the roadway, which had visible signs of being stolen, including a broken steering column. The vehicle was found to be stolen from Upper Merion Township. Police determined the stranded man, Tyrone Fitchett, 39, of Philadelphia, had been driving the vehicle when it broke down. He was subsequently charged with receiving stolen property and theft of a motor vehicle.
