BERWYN, PA — If your Memorial Day weekend plans for beer sampling went soggy, you may be able to make it up this weekend in Berwyn as La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse hosts its All-In Suburban Love Beer Festival.

The June 6 rain-or-shine event begins at noon at the brewery and the adjoining Malvern Federal Bank parking lot. The address is 642 Lancaster Ave, Berwyn. Ticket buyers receive, along with beer, food, and music, a La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse soccer chair to use all day and take home.

"We are extremely excited to once again be hosting this annual event. We had to skip last year due to the pandemic. Philadelphia and the surrounding area have one of the best — actually it is the best — beer scenes in the country. Suburban Love is our way of showing love and recognition to the breweries in the 'burbs," said Scott Clay, La Cabra Brewing's Director of Media.

This year's event will be slightly different from past Suburban Love Festivals, the brewery said. In an effort to make this year as safe as possible we will not have each brewery onsight pouring their beers. Instead, La Cabra staff will be pouring all of the beer.

"We are sad that our brewing friends will not be able to join us in person this year but we are very grateful to be pouring their incredible liquid. It is all love when it comes to sharing beers!" La Cabra said on its website.

La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse suggests using a car ride service like Lyft or Uber, or public transit (SEPTA) for transportation to and from the event. Attendees must be 21 or older.

"Although we love our four-legged friends we ask that you leave your pets at home for this event," the festival planners said.

The $50 Designated Driver Suburban Love Beer Festival Ticket is offered for those who will not be consuming alcohol at this event. Those with the DD wristband are asked to refrain from drinking at this event.

The DD ticket includes everything a full-price ticket gets, except for the beer.
