Van Driver Twice Approached Young Girls, Police Say
Easttown Police seek information about a woman who gestured for children to come over to her van Friday.
Easttown Police Department is investigating a report that a female van driver made two attempts to initiate contact with two young girls in Berwyn Friday afternoon.
The incidents occurred around 3:15 p.m., as the children played in the front yard of Sir Speedy, located on Midland Avenue off the 500 block of Lancaster Avenue, according to a police statement:
She pulled up to the girls and attempted to initiate a conversation with them. The girls ignored her and she drove off but returned approximately 2 minutes later and gestured for the children to come over to her vehicle.
The children ran from the area, and the woman drove off, headed west on Midland Avenue, according to police.Â

The woman is described as 50 to 60 years old with brown-and-gray hair, driving a tan sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Blazer.
