Swedesford Road To Close For Water Main Work Starting Monday
Water main replacement in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships will detour travelers for the rest of August.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Water main replacement will require Aqua Pennsylvania to close Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships next week.
Swedesford Road will be closed weekdays between Cedar Hollow Road and Valley Road in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships, Chester County, on Monday, Aug. 17, through Monday, Aug. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
In addition to the weekday closure, Swedesford Road will also be closed on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the closure, Swedesford Road travelers will be detoured over Valley Road, Yellow Springs Road and Route 29 (Morehall Road).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent. Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
