T&E Cares Collects Clothes
Donors can drop off clothes at Tredyffrin Easttown public schools.

Editor's note: The following information comes from Sandi Gorman of T&E Cares
As spring break is coming soon - remember that this is a great time to clean out those kids' closets and find those clothes no longer needed.  We'll be collecting clothes the first week of April (immediately after spring break).  Drop your items off at any of the TESD schools, during school hours.  If you can't get to any of the schools or those hours are too restrictive  - then there are 2 other great options for you.  Doctor's Best Immediate Medical Care (near the CVS in Berwyn) and Play-It-Again Sports (near Goodwill in Berwyn) are both collecting clothes for us as well.  Feel free to stop in and say hi to these special supporters while dropping off your items.
These clothes will be used for our upcoming Kids Clothing Grab Bag (April 12/13) - which is a fund raiser for our various programs. (Come "shop" and get amazing bargains! Everyone is welcome!)  The more clothes you donate, the better the event will be.  We'll take any gently used or new KIDS clothes, but nothing with inappropriate graphics, and no t-shirts with camp logos or youth sports logos.  We'll take shoes as long as they they aren't worn out (no old/worn sneakers).  We can not take bathing suits, underwear or socks unless they are new.  Please remember - this is a clothing drive, so no toys, books, baby items or household items.  Hope this is a good chance to do some great spring cleaning! For more details go to: http://www.tecare.org/kidsclothinggrabbag.html
We could still use a few more people to help preparing for the event (we are all set for workers AT the event) - so if you can lend us a few hours, here are the options (all at St. Matthew's Methodist Church - Walker Rd, Wayne).  All contacts can be sent to us at clothes@tecare.org. Â
- April 10 (Wed) - 9am-8pm - sorting
- April 11 (Thur) - 9am - ??? - sorting
- April 12 (Fri) - 3pm-7pm - event
- April 13 (Sat)Â - 9am-1pm - event;Â clean-up to follow
SOME OTHER SPECIAL REQUESTSÂ Â (contact us at stuff@tecare if you can help with these)
- A local family really needs a washer - we had a few options offered and they all fell through.  We'd really love to help them out!
- A mom needs a queen mattress.
- A family needs 2 twin mattresses and the bedding for them (including sheets and blankets).  They have bunk bed frames but nothing else.  The beds are for young boys.
- Don't forget that we can always use donations of automobiles - as long as the cars are in decent working order.  We continue to get requests for help covering car repairs, and sometimes the cars are so old and so junky that it's hard to put good money after a really bad car, but there is often no choice.
