T/E School District Announces Administrative Staffing Changes

Tredyffrin-Easttown School District announced the following administrative assignments, which were approved by unanimous vote at the Monday night school board meeting.  

• Mr. Robin McConnell will assume the role of Director of Assessment and Educational Technology.
• Dr. Richard Gusick will continue in the role of Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Staff Development with the additional role of Curriculum Supervisor for Social Studies.
• Ms. Wendy Towle will continue in the role of Curriculum Supervisor with additional supervisory responsibilities.
• Dr. Michael Szymendera, current music teacher at T/E Middle School, will succeed Dr. Todd Parker as Assistant Principal at T/E Middle School.
• Dr. Todd Parker will assume the role of Principal of Devon Elementary School. 
• Devon Principal Dr. Thomas Tobin will retire at the end of the current school year.
• Mr. Patrick Gately, current Conestoga English and gifted support teacher, will become Assistant Principal at Valley Forge Middle School. The position was formerly held by Dr. Oscar Torres. 
• Dr. Oscar Torres will assume the role of Curriculum Supervisor and will oversee World Languages, English as a Second Language, Career Education, TV Studio, Staff Development and Courses for Credit. He will also be the administrative liaison to the Diversity Committee.

These changes were based on recommendations of Superintendent Dan Waters, and they will take effect July 1.
