Tredyffrin Crime Blotter: Burglary, Theft, Assault, More

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Tredyffrin Township issued their most recent crime blotter this week.
Incident in the blotter occurred between Jan. 8 and Feb. 4.
The blotter also features DUI charges filed recently.

THEFT
Acme Markets in Wayne. After an investigation was conducted, police charged an 18-year-old former employee from Philadelphia with Access Device Fraud, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property after she activated a gift card without paying for it while working at the register.
THEFT
Jan. 8, Parking Lot behind Main Line Sports in Berwyn — Police were dispatched to the report of a male dumping contents from his trunk into the woods. Upon arrival, officers checked the woods, recovering personal property including a computer bag, purse and sets of keys belonging to unknown individuals. Subsequent investigations linked a suspect responsible for several thefts from vehicles. Israel Rivera-Rivera, 55, of Chester, was charged with the following crimes: Receiving Stolen Property; Criminal Mischief/Damages to Personal Property and Theft of Moveable Property.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS
Jan. 28, Lifetime Athletic in Wayne — Police charged a 50-year-old female from Malvern with Public Drunkenness after she appeared to be under the influence of unknown substances.
BURGLARY
Jan. 30, Old Lancaster Road in Devon — The owner of a storage shed discovered the shed had been broken into. Miscellaneous plumbing materials and copper was stolen from it. The estimated value of the equipment was $5,000. The case is under investigation.
ASSAULT
Feb. 2, Old Lancaster Road in Devon — Police charged Steven Reed, 52, of Devon, with Simple Assault causing Bodily Injury after he was involved in a domestic dispute.
WALLET THEFT
Feb. 4, Barnes & Noble store in Berwyn — Police were dispatched to the report of a stolen wallet. The victim stated that before noticing it missing, one of the cards in the wallet was used for an attempted purchase at a Target store. The case is under investigation.
The following individuals were arrested for driving under the influence. The lab results and/or chemical breath testing have been officially verified and determined to be unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely on the roadway.
- Nabaa Alazawee, 19, of Berwyn – Marijuana was present in her system.
- Christopher Young, 34, of Conshohocken - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was .163 percent
