Tredyffrin Declares State of Emergency For Pope Weekend

Township sites traffic, congestion on roads and trains

Tredyffrin Township has declared a state of emergency for the weekend of Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia, according to a Daily Local News report Wednesday.

The declaration was the result of a vote by the township’s board of supervisors , who cited traffic and train congestion for the decision.

The report added that Paoli station had the most Pope Pass sales of any SEPTA station.
