Tredyffrin-Eastown SD Holding Special Reopening Meeting Tonight

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A special meeting of the Tredyffrin-Eastown school board happens at 7:30 tonight and will include a vote on reopening plans. The form for online feedback closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday before the meeting, according to a TESD notice.

On July 29 the School Board will present the proposed reopening plans.

In accordance with state guidelines, the meeting will be held virtually. The link to the live meeting will be available on the TESD website by 6 p.m. the day of the meeting. The meeting agenda can be accessed here.

Community members have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 to submit comments or questions about the reopening plan, using the Reopening Plan Feedback Form. Comments received by 5 p.m. will be forwarded to all school board members for their review before the meeting, but these comments will not be read during the special meeting.

After a presentation on the reopening plan, community members will be able to submit additional comments and questions. The school district said it expects a high volume of responses and respectfully requests one submission per person. It asks that comments and questions be no more than three minutes long and that all input maintains the "spirit of civil discourse." Instructions for submitting additional comments and questions will be provided during the meeting.

Community members are asked to please list their name and township in the subject line or with a signature.

To date, Tredyffrin-Easttown School District has received over 750 comments and questions from community members. The Board and TESD administration said they "appreciate the community's engagement regarding the proposed reopening plans."
