Tredyffrin Lt. Joins Elite Group
One of Tredyffrin's top three police commanders marks major accomplishment.

Tredyffrin Police Lieutenant Taro Landis has joined elite group of police officers from around the country who have graduated from the FBI's National Academy. (FBINA).
The Master's degree-level academy which is held at the FBI's National Training Center in Quantico, VA focuses on leadership development course for police executives and is focused on labor law, statement analysis and general leadership curriculum. Lt. Landis is the administrative commander under Superintendent Anthony Giaimo for the Tredyffrin Police Department.
Lt. Landis, a former Marine, husband, and father of two daughters said “the whole experience changed my entire attitude on policing”.
According to a news releae from Tredyffrin Police "Lt. Landis went on to examine the high level tempo of the environment, commenting on lessons learned and that the process forced the officers to examine their own strengths and weaknesses. Lt. Landis stated that he learned much more about himself during his training and will be the better for it. He additionally noted that there are a number of important concepts and lessons learned that will directly benefit the police department and community."

Tredyffrin Superintendent Anthony Giaimo commented, “We are extremely proud of Lt. Landis’s hard work, sacrifices and accomplishments during his tenure at the academy”. “He is an asset to my command staff, the police department and our community.”
According to Tredyffrin Police, Giaimo is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.He is the is the second vice president of the FBI NAA Pennsylvania Chapter, helping to shape the agencies’ national reputation as one of the largest and most forward thinking police agencies in Chester County and the Commonwealth.
