Tredyffrin Unveils 2014 Budget Plan
Proposed $23.3M budget calls for increased expenses but no tax increases.

A preliminary $23.3M budget was presented to supervisors and the public during Wednesday's Board meeting.
Highlights of the budget as presented to supervisors by the township's Manager and department heads:
- The preliminary budget calls for no increase in property taxes over 2013. Â
- The average tax bill for homeowners in Tredyffrin Township is $527.
- The budget plan estimates a 4.9 percent increase in expenses which amounts to about $1million. Township Manager Bill Martin says that is expected to be covered through a combination of a projected surplus at the end of the 2013 budget year and projected increases in property transfer tax revenues and grants for budgeted items.
- The budget includes $8.4Million for police operations.
