Watch 'Stoga Students Award-Winning Short Films

Four Conestoga High School students were recognized in the 2013 Greenfield Youth Film Festival.

Four Conestoga High School students were recognized in the 2013 Greenfield Youth Film Festival.

The film festival announced Wednesday the following results:

  • Benjamin Fall won in the experimental category for his computer-lab light show, RGB.
  • Drew Gottlieb and Zach Lowry won in the Music Video category for the library-set Love Potion #10.
  • Madeline DeVlieger's film, Radiant, about a family member with Down syndrome, received recognition for most nominations for special awards.

Many of the films were earnest and somber, but not all of them, according to the festival's press release announcing the winners:

Take, for example, Conestoga High School senior Benjamin Fall. His film took “a lot of planning. I made a PowerPoint that I put up on each of the computers, and then since I had no master control I went around and manually changed the slides to the one I wanted to appear,” he said.
