Wayne's Black Powder Tavern Reopens With Limited Menu
The number of patrons in the restaurant will be limited and staff will continually clean and sanitize tables, chairs, restrooms, and more.

WAYNE, PA — Wayne's Black Powder Tavern is open again for business.
The historic restaurant announced it has reopened after closing due to the coronavirus pandemic and Gov. Tom Wolf's order to shutter non-essential businesses.
As of Wednesday, only lunch service is available, but dinner service will begin July 7.

The restaurant will be closed on Mondays as well as on July 4 and 5.
A limited number of guests will be seated in the restaurant at a safe distance. Additionally, Black Powder staff will adhere to guidelines established by State Health Officials by continually cleaning and sanitizing the restaurant including tables, chairs, all surfaces and restrooms, according to General Manager Bernie Bottmeyer.

"Our team will take all appropriate steps to serve our guests safely while providing them with a memorable dining experience," he said.
The Black Powder Tavern is offering a limited but varied menu.
Chef Robert Stegbauer’s summer menu will include the south Philly pork "Sangweech," big ale prime burger, summer vegetables on ciabatta, and soy glazed grilled salmon salad.
"We are grateful for the strong community support our restaurant has enjoyed over the years," General Manager, Bernie said. "We look forward to greeting our regular patrons who are coming back to dine with us, and to welcoming new guests."
