Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Saturday

Get ready for another round of snow.

Here we go again.  For the what would be the third time in six days, the National Weather Forecast is predicting more snow to blanket the region.

A Winter Weather Advisory Is Issued for 7 a.m. Satuday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory covering 7 a.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday.  

An ADVISORY is issued for less serious weather conditions that are occurring, or have a high likelihood of occurring. An ADVISORY is for weather that will cause significant inconvenience but is not likely to threaten life or property. These situations are not life threatening, any damage is usually localized and the main danger is hazardous travel.

According to the NWS advisory:

Most areas will see about two for four inches of snow accumulation along with some some sleet saturday evening "and maybe a tenth of an inch of glaze Saturday night.
 

According to the NWS forecast: "SNOW SHOULD BEGIN SOMETIME AFTER DAYBREAK SATURDAY AND MAY ONLY BE INTERMITTENT FOR A WHILE. THAT COULD RESULT IN SOME MELTING ON PAVEMENT. SNOW MAY BECOME HEAVY FOR A SHORT TIME BY LATE AFTERNOON THEN CHANGE TO SLEET AND FINALLY TO FREEZING RAIN OR RAIN SATURDAY EVENING"
