Educator at Our Lady of Mercy School Wins"Teacher of the Year"
Mr. Paul A. Larrea, OLM Middle School Science Teacher, was named Teacher of the Year by the Children's Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia

Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) Regional Catholic School, located on the campus of St. Alphonsus Parish in Maple Glen, recently announced that Mr. Paul A. Larrea has been recognized by the Children's Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia as "Teacher of the Year." Mr. Larrea graduated from Holy Family University with a BA in Secondary Education and is currently in pursuit of his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Mr. Larrea has been teaching in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for five years. The 20-21 school year marks Mr. Larrea's third year of teaching at OLM. During his teaching tenure at OLM he has also served as Director of STEM Curriculum and Director of Pandemic Response. Mr. Larrea is passionate about teaching and brings that enthusiasm to his classroom everyday. He says, "Teaching is not a job, but a calling to serve students to reach their full potential."
Mr. John C. McGrath, Principal at OLM, celebrated this news and stated, "Mr. Larrea is a complete professional who always puts his students first."
