Employee Steals $154K From Montco Nonprofit: DA
The local nonprofit, which helps recently released prisoners with reentry, had large sums stolen by the payroll manager, police said.
UPPER DUBLIN, PA — A Montgomery County woman has been charged after stealing more than $154,000 from the local nonprofit where she worked as the payroll manager, authorities announced this week.
Anglea Nadeau, 42, of Royersford, faces 185 felony counts of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity and related charges.
An investigation began back on Dec. 16, 2020, when the Upper Dublin-based nonprofit Kintock Group reported a theft.

The original theft was only $12,000, but an investigation revealed that Nadeau, employed under the name Angela Claussen, had actually stolen much more, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
The thefts occurred between 2017 and 2020, when Nadeau issued 88 unauthorized paychecks to former employees at Kintock, police said.

However, she changed the direct deposit information on employee records so that checks were instead deposited into her own account, according to authorities.
Over that four year period, police said there were 1,626 debit card transactions on that account.
Nadeau posted $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for June 4.
