Local Firm To Use Rock Concert to Teach Finance in Upper Dublin Schools

The unique group will "use the power of a live rock performance to deliver inspirational lessons of finance and discipline."

Several local Raymond James financial planning teams have announced they will be sponsoring a series of financial literacy rock concerts for Philadelphia-area schools through a partnership with nonprofit Funding the Future, according to a press release.

Using the power of a live rock performance to deliver inspirational lessons of finance and discipline to young people, Funding the Future helps students see their dreams as possibilities, the release states.

The nonprofit’s performance combines a concert, multimedia presentation and talkback to discuss predatory lending, saving early and the danger of credit card debt, while exposing the myth of overnight success associated with rock stars, athletes and actors, Raymond James said.
