Montgomery County DUI Court Has Too Much To Handle: Report
"One too many" DUI cases have been heard in the single courtroom, reports say.

Montgomery County’s DUI Court will no longer operate in a single courtroom, starting in 2016, according to the Times Herald.
Due to a large volume of cases, the DUI court will now be split between the eight judges that oversee all criminal proceedings in the Montgomery County Courthouse, the report states.
The DUI court began operating in 2014, according to the report.

“We in the district attorney’s office devoted considerable staffing resources to it but there was only one judge and her staff,” Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman told the Times Herald. “I think that was a herculean task for any judge to try to manage. It was simply too much for one person.”
DUI cases comprise about a third of all cases heard in Montgomery County Courts, the report states.
