Pennsylvania Team Draws Closer To Little League World Series

A Pennsylvania team is has made it one step closer to the Little League World Series by winning the Pennsylvania title.

Red Land beat Black Mountain last week, 17-0, to secure their berth in the Mid-Atlantic Region stage of the tournament.

A GoFundMe campaign for Red Land’s team has launched to help pay for expenses as they travel for the tournament in Bristol, Connecticut.

The York County-based team will compete in the tournament beginning August 10.

They have already raised $3,401 out of their goal of $8,000.

Red Land has a perfect 13-0 record thus far in the tournament and has outscored opponents by an almost unbelievable 82-6.

Red Land is hoping to become the second Pennsylvania team in two years to represent the Mid-Atlantic Region after Mo’ne Davis and the famed Taney Dragons’ run in the summer of 2014.
