Pennsylvania's Red Land Dominates Little League Tournament While Fighting Cancer
The team from Pennsylvania remains undefeated. And they're using the big stage to help kids battling cancer.

York County’s Red Land Little League, the undefeated Pennsylvania champions who will play in the Winner’s Bracket Championship game of the World Series tonight, is good at more than just baseball.
They’re good at helping people, too.
The team has worked with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to launch the Red Land Vs. Cancer Campaign on Pledge It, a nonprofit fundraising platform.

Fans are encouraged to donate a dollar amount for every run the Red Land teams scores during the Little League World Series.
And knowing Red Land, they’re bound to raise a lot of dollars. Thus far in the tournament, they’ve gone 18-0 while outscoring their opponents 271-21.

Their toughest challenge may have been against South Carolina on Sunday night. They outlasted a late charge, winning 9-8.
It’s a big change from other final scores in recent days, but the competition is only getting tougher as the tournament progresses.
While in their midst of their own challenge, the Keystone State champions haven’t forgotten what other children around the world face.
“We thought it would be a nice gesture in order to take advantage of our 15 minutes of fame. What a great cause,” Red Land assistant coach Bret Wagner said. “If we can continue the offensive trend the way we have been, we can raise a lot of money for pediatric cancer, a very worthy cause.”
Proceeds from the campaign will benefit the Vs. Cancer Foundation, partnership with the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Thus far, Red Land fans have collectively pledged more than $300 per run scored in the World Series.
The Little League World Series will continue for Red Land Wednesday night at 8 p.m. when they take on Pearland West Little League, the Texas champions.
The game will be live on ESPN.
If Red Land wins, they’ll play the winner of a matchup between the Southwest and the West for the United States Championship on Saturday.
If they lose, they’ll face the West on Thursday at 8 p.m.
