Mummers in Manayunk Parade
When/where: Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m. in Manayunk
Details: The parade will begin at Green Lane and travel through Manayunk. It will end at Lock Street. The parade is free; bracelets ($10) will offer access to other activities. For more information, visit www.MummersMardiGras.com.

Philadelphia Flower Show
When/where: The annual show opens Saturday and runs through March 8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center,
Details: This year’s theme is “Celebrate the Movies” and will feature floral designs and gardens inspired by Hollywood. Tickets are $27 for adults if purchased by Feb. 27. Purchase tickets online at theflowershow.com.

Touch the Future Reception
When/where: The “ Touch the Future” art show, featuring works of local students, will have its opening reception this Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Arcadia University, 450 S Easton Rd, Glenside
Details: The 28th annual Touch the Future art show, which features original work by students from 27 high schools in Bucks and Montgomery counties, is sponsored by the Mideastern Region of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Council for the Advancement of Public Schools. Please Touch Museum
When/where: While nothing different is happening this weekend at Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum, it was recently recognized by Conde Nast as one of the 10 Best U.S. Museums for Kids. So if you haven’t been yet, it’s a great time to check it out.
Details: Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $17 a person. The museum is located at 4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia.
