Robert J. Scott, 85 of Ambler

Robert J. Scott, 85 of Ambler PA, died Thursday August 16, 2012 in Mercy Suburban Hospital Norristown, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Anna (nee Mulhalland) Scott. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife Janet F. (nee Skyrm) Scott in 2007.

He served in the US Navy from 6-9-1944 to 5-30-1946 in the Pacific and American Theater of Operations.

He was a Salesperson, employed by Mt. Airy Auto Parts in Philadelphia and Flourtown for many years prior to his retirement.

Mr. Scott was a former member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Flourtown. He Loved to Play Organ and Bag Pipes and was a Fisherman and Avid Philadelphia Flyers Fan.

He is survived by his children Barbara A. Deturo of Bradenton, FL and Gregg W. Scott and his wife Pam of Apollo Beach, FL. He is the Grandfather of 4 and Great Grandfather of 2 and brother of Florence Block of Philadelphia, PA.

Relatives and Friends may call Monday August 20, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Frank Sayford officiating. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.

Remembrances in his name to American Lung Association in Pennsylvania 527 Plymouth Road Suite 403 Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 would be appreciated by the family.
