Robert Schultz Hired as UDHS Principal
The current Assistant Superintendent will replace Charles Rittenhouse.

By his own account, Upper Dublin Assistant Superintendent Robert Schultz surprised superintendent Michael Pladus when Schultz spoke up at a recent meeting to discuss internal candidates to replace outgoing UDHS principal Charles Rittenhouse.
“I mentioned I would like to be considered for the position,” Schultz told the Ambler Gazette. “I wanted to speak with him [Pladus] first, but he asked the question. There is no doubt in my mind I would love to be the principal in the high school.”
Schultz is a lifelong Upper Dublin resident and UDHS alumnus. He was hired as a math teacher in 1997 and has held several positions leading up to the Assistant Superintendent job.
However, Schultz told the Gazette that while he's enjoyed his time in the district office, he misses the day-to-day interaction with students.
Rittenhouse announced his resignation in May. He leaves for the principal's job at Springfield Township High School.
