Upper Dublin Named Among 'Best Suburbs To Raise A Family' In America

Upper Dublin ranks 24th in the state. Do you agree?

Good housing, low crime, good schools and community investment…does this describe Upper Dublin?

The township recently ranked 24th in Pennsylvania on the “Best Suburbs to Raise a Family” list, compiled by information services provider Niche.com.

“Upper Dublin Township is a suburb in Pennsylvania with 25,903 residents,” the study states. “It has very high home values, very high rent costs, and low unemployment levels. Its citizens generally have high education levels and very high income levels.”

The township was given an overall grade of “A+.”

The top suburb in Pennsylvania on the list was nearby Narberth.

New York’s Scarsdale, in Westchester County, took top honors nationally. Narberth was second in the nation.

The list analyzed the following factors for each suburb:

  • Crime and safety
  • Education
  • Access to libraries
  • Community
  • Housing
  • Access to day cares
  • Access to grocery stores
  • Percentage of residents 35-44 years old
  • Percentage of residents 9-years-old and under
