Information provided by Eastern Center for Arts and Technology:

Jaclyn Piccari is the October 2013 Student of the Month at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) in Willow Grove. She is in EASTERN’s Cosmetology program and a senior at Upper Dublin High School. The Student of the Month Award is sponsored by EASTERN’s faculty, Joint Committee and the Willow Grove Rotary Club to highlight student excellence, success and service. Ten students each year are selected for this honor.

At EASTERN, Jaclyn maintains high grades in her Cosmetology program, and is currently working on obtaining the 1,250 hours needed prior to taking the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology Exam. She is actively involved in SkillsUSA, and served as the Cosmetology class Secretary during the 2012 – 2013 school year. Last fall, she was selected to attend the Fall Leadership Conference for the Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) in the Poconos and came home with a gold medal for Leadership and a bronze medal for Cosmetology. She also volunteered her time and talents to Cosmetology clinics run throughout the school year that benefitted The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Abington Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Center.
