Upper Dublin's Jarrettown Elementary To Participate In 'Cradles To Crayons' Competition For Kids In Need

The Cradles to Crayons Metroplex May Day competition pits area schools against each other to see who can collect the most donations for local kids in need.

Several local elementary and high schools are participating in the competition.

Area schools participating include: Arcola Intermediate School, Bridgeport Elementary School, Conshohocken Elementary School, Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, Jarrettown Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Plymouth Elementary School, Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School, Pottsgrove High School, Ringing Rocks Elementary, Roberts Elementary School, Rosyln Elementary, Rydal Elementary, Sandy Run Middle School, Schuylkill Elementary School, Wissahickon High School, and Fort Washington Elementary.

The competition, organized by the Goldenberg Group, will be held at the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting all day on Friday, May 19.

In 2016, the "Battle of the Schools" collected essential items for 2,184 children.
