What Time Will The Heat Index Hit 100 In Montgomery County?

Sunday’s scorching temperatures aren’t going anywhere.

A high of 93 degrees with a heat index of 101 degrees will hit Montgomery County late Monday afternoon.

Temperatures in much of sub-Saharan Africa, a region in the midst of a brutal tropical summer, including Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, and Mogadishu, won’t break 90 degrees.

It could feel like the hottest day of the year in the Philadelphia area - even hotter than Sunday.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible before noon and in the evening, but not likely.

An excessive heat warning has been issued for the region and will remain in effect until 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service recommends area residents stay indoors if possible, drink plenty of fluids, be sure never to leave children or pets in cars, and check on elderly neighbors.
