Wounded Hero 5K, Free Concert Set For June 16 In Warminster
The Wounded Hero 5K will be held June 16 at Warminster Community Park. It will be followed by a free concert and other fun activities.

There's something for everyone at this year's Wounded Hero 5K on June 16th at Warminster Community Park. This year will be Operation Ward 57's Honor & Courage Program's 6th year for the 5K that benefits our nation's wounded heroes and their caregivers. Each year hundreds of runner's and walkers come together to show their appreciation for those who have sacrificed so much for all of us.
This year there will be a special tribute to our Vietnam Veterans. The Honor & Courage Veterans Crisis line has noticed a significant increase in calls from Vietnam Veterans. Our Vietnam Veterans are getting older, retiring, and some are falling ill, which leaves more time to reflect back on their time in Vietnam. So this year, the one mile walk is in honor of our Vietnam Vets, both living and fallen - "The Vietnam Veteran One Mile Honor/Memorial Walk"
Each year we love to see our nation's youth learning more about the sacrifices of our Heroes, and meeting these Heroes in person. It makes us so happy to see a small child walking up to a Veteran and asking them for their autograph! If you have a child between the ages of 5 & 12 years of age, they can show their appreciation for our Veterans by running the "I RAN A MILE FOR A HERO" one mile fun run! Kids will also receive their own special shirts that they can wear with pride.
