Ann's Choice Celebrates Pride Month

Parade brings senior living community residents and staff together

On Wednesday, June 16, Ann's Choice, an Erickson Senior Living-developed and managed community in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, celebrated Pride Month with a festive Pride Parade on campus in honor and support of the LGBTQA+ community.

More than 170 residents and staff members paraded through Ann's Choice's scenic campus wearing brightly colored outfits and waving rainbow flags or cheered from sidewalks and balconies along the route. Participants also enjoyed music and light refreshments of pretzels and rainbow-colored candy at the party.

The Parade was sponsored by Ann's Choice's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which works to build awareness, increase understanding and promote a community of respect and caring that embraces the richness of Ann's Choice's diverse residents and employees.

In addition to the Pride parade, the committee set up information stations at each clubhouse with LGBTQA+ history, terminology, and resources.

“Our first annual Pride Parade was a huge success,” said Director of Resident Life Christa Segal. "Thank you to our committee for organizing these extraordinary events throughout the year and helping to make Ann's Choice a welcoming and inclusive place to live and work."

Ann’s Choice, one of 21 continuing care retirement communities managed by Erickson Senior Living, is situated on a scenic 103-acre campus in Warminster, Pennsylvania.
