BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A Bucks County resident, 25-year-old Shannon St. Clair will be featured in the third U.S. season of the popular reality show Love Island.

St. Clair announced her casting on Instagram June 30, in an account takeover by her sister. A former cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles, she attended Archbishop Wood Catholic High School in Warminster and received college degrees from Bucks County Community College and Temple University. She then worked as a controller at the Doylestown-based Ronin Construction Group until December of 2020.

On Love Island, St. Clair will be one in a group of single “Islanders” who come together in Hilo, Hawaii to date and connect. Those who don’t pair up are at risk of being literally voted off the island.

“In addition to choosing their partners wisely, Islanders must also win the hearts of viewers who have the opportunity to shape events on screen and ultimately crown one lucky couple the winner who will then have the chance to walk away with both love and the cash prize,” the show’s website explains.

St. Clair is not necessarily a stranger to the spotlight. In early 2021, several online publications speculated that she was dating Dave Portnoy, the CEO of the pop culture blog Barstool Sports.

“I just think I bring a lot of energy wherever I am,” she said in a video posted to the Love Island U.S.A. Instagram account, advertising the season. “Party don’t start til I walk in.”

St. Clair’s season premieres on CBS Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
