The Freemasons of Southampton Radiant Star Lodge #806 recently donated to the program fund of local Boy Scout Troop 200 in Ivyland. Worshipful Master, David Kolmetzky invited members of Troop 200 to the Lodge for the presentation. Kolmetzky explained how grateful the Freemasons are for the great work of the Boy Scouts and that the donation was the first installment of an ongoing commitment to the Scouts. Kolmetzsky explained that many Freemasons were also former Boy Scouts and that the organizations share many common goals and backgrounds. He further explained that the lessons taught in Boy Scouts are very similar to the lessons taught in Lodge.

Scoutmaster Bruce Godshall accepted the donation on behalf of the Troop, and expressed his thanks and anticipation for extending the partnership between the two organizations. Boy Scout Erik Muller thanked all of the brothers for their generous donation and was thrilled to visit the lodge.
